Zofia and Nikodem remain Poland's most popular baby names

Zofia remained the most popular name given to baby girls in Poland in the second half of 2025, while Nikodem again topped the list for boys, the Ministry of Digital Affairs said on Monday.

Zuzanna and Maja followed Zofia among girls, while Antoni and Leon ranked second and third for boys.

Other frequently chosen girls’ names in the second half of the year included Laura, Hanna, Julia, Oliwia, Pola, Alicja and Emilia, the ministry said.

Among boys, Jan, Aleksander, Franciszek, Ignacy, Stanisław, Jakub and Mikołaj also remained in the top 10, with little movement compared with earlier rankings.

In 2024, Maja was the most popular name for girls, with Zofia close behind.

Nikodem and Antoni led the boys' rankings last year as well.
