The woman separated from her group at around 9am in the Piecky gorge, reportedly concerned about the difficulty of the trail, which includes ladders and chains.
Her companions completed the route and returned along the only available path.
Rescuers were unable to reach her by phone after she split from the group.
Police were notified and called in the Mountain Rescue Service (HZS), deploying seven rescuers, two drone specialists equipped with mobile phone tracking technology, three dog handlers and police location services.
Her body was found on steep terrain in the gorge, below the Great Waterfall.
It was taken to the nearby village of Hrabušice.
