Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya has begun working from Poland, relocating part of her office from Vilnius after the Lithuanian government reduced her security status last year.Tsikhanouskaya, who ran as a presidential candidate against Alexander Lukashenko in the 2020 election, fled to the Baltic state almost six years ago and carried on her work as leader of the Belarusian opposition forces. Having moved to Poland early this year, Tsikhanouskaya continues focusing on coordinating the Belarusian democratic opposition, engaging with the large Belarusian diaspora in Poland, and addressing legal and human rights challenges.
