The survey, conducted by United Surveys by IBRiS for Wirtualna Polska and released Sunday, found 63.2% of respondents doubted the readiness of Poland's military and security services, compared with 25.9% who expressed confidence. About 11% had no opinion.
Skepticism was strongest among voters for opposition parties, including the far-right Confederation and conservative Law and Justice (PiS): 82% of that bloc said forces are not adequately prepared, with 45% answering "definitely not". Just 15% of these voters expressed confidence.
Supporters of the governing coalition offered a starkly different assessment. Half of them said they trust the military's readiness, versus 34% who did not — a rare instance where the government's own base is roughly split on a national security question that otherwise unites much of the electorate in doubt.
