The girl was discovered safe early on May 15 in an apartment in Żory, Silesia (southern Poland), leading to the arrest of a 24-year-old man.
She disappeared on May 13 after failing to return home following her visit to her grandparents.
Authorities sent SMS alerts with her description - lightly curly brown hair and about 158 cm tall - to inform the public and aid in the search.
Patrycja was found around 5 a.m. in the suspect’s apartment, unharmed.
The child alert system in Poland, activated only seven times since its introduction in 2013, requires legal guardian approval and evidence of potential danger to the child’s life or health.
