His winning collection, “Portrait,” explores imagined characters inspired by Brzeziński’s own photographs of anonymous people.
Each figure is assigned a distinct identity and profession, drawn from their captured expressions.
Rendered like sketches in an extended grayscale palette and primarily crafted from knits, the collection contrasts bold, voluminous shapes with sheer, delicate textures.
Reflecting on his creative process, Brzeziński explained: “In my work, I focus on careful observation of reality, drawing inspiration from people and materials.
When working with fabrics, I pay close attention to detail and seek to evoke sensitivity through form, whether by creating knits from scratch or deeply transforming existing materials.”
This year marks the ninth edition of Łódź Young Fashion, a platform celebrating emerging Polish fashion talent.
