Thanks to an initiative by local officials from Płońsk, a local children’s association, and the Siepomaga Foundation, the children, including orphans, can take a break from wartime trauma and participate in educational and cultural activities introducing them to Polish traditions.
The program includes trips to several major Polish cities, visits to a planetarium and astronomical observatory, as well as sports and recreational projects.
Since 2022, a total of 650 children have taken part in various Płońsk programs supported by the city authorities.
On Monday, 26 January 2026, the young visitors met the mayor, Andrzej Pietrasik, during their stay.
