A ceremony in Kraków marked Poland's first nationwide Michelin selection, following a 2022 agreement between the guide and the Polish Tourist Organisation (POT). Previously, only five Polish regions had been evaluated since the partnership launched in 2023.
"Today, two qualities meet: the prestige of the Michelin brand, built over more than a hundred years, and the increasingly strong quality of Polish tourism", said Ireneusz Raś, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. "Poland today has excellent chefs, restaurateurs, local products, regional traditions and a diversity of flavors that build our image in the world".
POT President Magdalena Krucz called it an extraordinary moment. "Nearly 70 percent of foreign visitors surveyed say they come to Poland to experience its flavors and discover what Polish cuisine has to offer", she said.
Altogether, 38 restaurants hold Bib Gourmand status and 147 appear in the guide's recommendations. Gdańsk's Eliksir retained its Green Star — Poland's only holder of that distinction. Visitor numbers to recommended restaurants have grown by an average of 30%, according to POT figures.
Four special awards were also presented: Warsaw's WANDAL took Opening of the Year; Ida Malec of Kraków's Nat Bistro received the Young Chef Award; the team at Babinicz in Szczawno-Zdrój won the Service Award; and Dawid Kurlus of Maremma in Poznań earned the Sommelier Award.
One-Star Restaurants (with new recipients noted): Alon Omakase, Warsaw (new); Arco by Paco Pérez, Gdańsk; BABA, Wrocław (new); Giewont, Kościelisko; hub.praga, Warsaw; Most, Wrocław (new); Muga, Poznań; NUTA, Warsaw; Rozbrat 20, Warsaw; Steampunk, Pszczyna (new)
