Universal Civil Protection Junior Workshops (PWOL Junior) is a free educational programme run by the Polish Ministry of the Interior and Administration (MSWiA) for children and teenagers under 18.
It is organised in cooperation with the Association of Volunteer Fire Brigades of the Republic of Poland (ZOSPRP), Royal Rangers Poland and the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP).
The programme is designed to teach participants to recognise threats, provide basic first aid and respond to emergencies, among other things. It also covers topics including basic safety, modern-world threats and information security.
The organisers plan to use practical and interactive methods adapted to the participants' ages. These will include practical exercises and outdoor games, team tasks, demonstrations of rescue equipment and simulations of emergency situations.
The activities will involve instructors from volunteer fire brigades, supervisors of youth and children's fire brigades and firefighters experienced in educational work.
The Junior workshops are based on practical content from the Safety Guide, developed by MSWiA, the Ministry of National Defence (MON) and the Government Security Centre (RCB).
The workshops will run until mid-December, and registration is already open.
