The talented 18-year-old on Wednesday finished behind Italy’s Elia Viviani and France’s Bryan Coquard.
The medal in the Dutch city of Apeldoorn was the latest notch in the young Pole’s belt. In June, making his debut as a senior, he won a silver in the men's scratch at the 2019 European Games in Belarus.
Filip Prokopyszyn is the grandson of cycling coach Kazimierz Prokopyszyn.
