Poland’s Kubacki second in Innsbruck

Poland’s Dawid Kubacki has won second place in the third stage of this season’s prestigious Four Hills ski-jumping tournament in Innsbruck, Austria.

Saturday’s event saw Kubacki jump 133 metres in his second attempt and score 252 points in total.

Norway’s Marius Lindvik won the competition, after leaping also 133 metres in the second jump and scoring 253.3 points in total. Countryman Daniel Tande finished third.

Pole Piotr Żyła finished 12th and Poland’s triple Olympic champion Kamil Stoch was 15th.

Kubacki placed third in the first and second events of the Four Hills tournament in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Oberstdorf, Germany.

The Four Hills Tournament, which is part of the ski-jumping World Cup circuit, features a series of four competitions taking place in Germany and Austria every year.
