New date set for Tokyo Olympic Games

The International Olympic Committee has announced that the postponed Tokyo Games will now officially begin on July 23, 2021.

The announcement comes after the International Olympic Committee last week made an unprecedented move to delay the world's biggest sporting event by a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The new date has been welcomed by the Polish Olympic Committee and athletes.
