Polish swimmer sets record after 48 hours in lake

Polish swimmer Krzysztof Gajewski has set a new Guinness record in the “longest lake swim” category.

He covered a distance of 110 kilometres without stopping, spending 48 hours in the water.

He completed the feat on Sunday afternoon in the Paniowice reservoir, south-western Poland.

Gajewski’s result is a new European record in long-distance swimming.
