The expedition, organized by the Seven Summit Treks agency, is due to start in the second half of December.
Kowalewski reached the summit of K2, which rises to 8,611 metres, in the summer of last year.
At the beginning of 2019, he took part in a winter expedition to K2 that failed to achieve its goal.
His aim is to conquer K2 without oxygen support.
Later this month, Kowalewski is leaving for Ecuador to undergo acclimatization at an altitude of 6,300 metres.
The climber, who hails from Szczecin in the northwest of Poland, has five eight-thousanders to his name: Mount Everest, K2, Lhotse, Broad Peak and Manaslu.
