Poland’s Chorzów to host 2021 European Athletics Team Championships

The Polish city of Chorzów has been selected to host next year’s European Athletics Team Championships, officials have announced.

The event will be held at the city’s landmark Silesian Stadium on June 19 and 20, Poland’s PAP news agency reported on Tuesday.

Poland won last year’s European Athletics Team Championships, which were held in its north-central city of Bydgoszcz.

Team Poland at the time finished ahead of Germany and France.

Poland's Chorzów is also scheduled to host the World Athletics Relays at its Silesian Stadium in May next year, an international track-and-field event where teams from around the world compete in relay races.
