Germany won Sunday's Team Relay World Cup event, and Austria came in second.

Poland’s Klaudia Domaradzka, Mateusz Sochowicz, Wojciech Chmielewski and Jakub Kowalewski clocked a combined time of 2:24.766, finishing 0.036 behind the runners-up and 1.118 behind the winners.

Ten national teams competed.

In February, Poland’s Chmielewski and Kowalewski earned the first-ever Luge World Cup podium for Poland with a third-place finish in the men’s doubles during last season’s circuit.

The Luge World Cup has a tradition going back to the late 1970s.

Poland was an international luge powerhouse in the 1960s and early 1970s.
