Football: Polish striker Milik moves to Marseille from Napoli

Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik has joined French side Olympique de Marseille on loan from Italy’s Napoli, the Ligue 1 club has confirmed.

“I am happy and proud to announce that I am officially a player of Olympique de Marseille, one of the most prestigious clubs in Europe,” Milik said in a social media post on Thursday.

“I'm ready for this new adventure,” he added.

Marseille announced it had signed Milik on an 18-month loan from Napoli with an option to buy.

Milik, who joined Napoli from Ajax in 2016, scored 48 goals across all competitions for the Serie A side.
