The Poles, who are reigning world champions, beat Portugal 3-1 in their opening game of the tournament last Thursday and followed up with a 3-2 win against Serbia two days later.

The Polish team will take on Belgium in its next match in Kraków, southern Poland, on Monday evening.

Poland is jointly hosting the 2021 EuroVolley championships, which are also being held in the Czech Republic, Estonia and Finland from September 1 to 19.

The Polish team, under Belgian coach Vital Heynen, reached the quarterfinals of the volleyball tournament at this summer's Tokyo Olympics, where it was knocked out by eventual gold medal winners France.
