In a media statement, Świątek’s team said on Monday that a permanent appointment would be announced "in due course," the state PAP news agency reported.

Wiktorowski is best known for his work with Agnieszka Radwańska, a former Polish world No. 2 who won the prestigious WTA Finals tournament in 2015.

Świątek at the end of last week announced she was parting ways with Piotr Sierzputowski, her coach for the last five years, who had overseen the Polish player’s biggest success to date, the 2020 French Open singles title.

The 20-year-old Świątek, Poland’s first and only Grand Slam singles champion, is ending 2021 as world No. 9, with wins in Adelaide and Rome

Heading into 2022, Świątek is training for the tournaments in Australia in January, culminating in the Australian Open in Melbourne, PAP reported.
