The 20-year-old Pole, coached by countryman Tomasz Wiktorowski, dispatched the 27-year-old American in 56 minutes for her ninth consecutive match win.

The Polish player will now face former world No. 1 Simona Halep of Romania for a place in the final of the women’s singles at the USD 8.37 million tournament in the California desert, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Świątek, who is ranked world No. 4 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), last month won the Qatar Open tennis tournament in Doha to claim her second WTA 1000 title and her fourth career singles title.
