The Polish world No. 1, who triumphed in Paris in 2020, extended her winning streak to 33 matches.

Świątek, who celebrated her 21st birthday on Tuesday, will next face 20th-seed Russian player Daria Kasatkina for a place in the championship match.

The Polish player last month won the Italian Open clay-court tournament in Rome, defending her crown and claiming her eighth career singles title.

The 21-year-old, coached by countryman Tomasz Wiktorowski, in early April took over as the new number one in women's tennis, becoming the first Pole to top the world rankings.
