Women's volleyball: Poland ease past Thailand at world champs on home soil

The Poles, who are back on the world stage after an absence of 12 years, defeated Croatia 3-1 in their opening match of the tournament last Friday.

The Polish team, managed by Italian coach Stefano Lavarini, will take on South Korea in its next game at the championships on Wednesday night.

The 2022 Volleyball Women’s World Championships, contested by 24 teams and held by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the world governing body for the sport, are being jointly hosted by Poland and the Netherlands until October 15.
