The Polish tennis star overpowered the US fourth seed to capture her third victory on the bounce in the WTA Finals group stage.

She earlier beat Daria Kasatkina, 6-2 6-3, and France’s Caroline Garcia, 6-3 6-2.

Świątek will now take on Aryna Sabalenka in the competition’s semi-finals, held on Sunday evening.

The 2022 WTA Finals event began on October 31 and runs until November 7.

Poland’s tennis player last month won the San Diego Open tournament in the United States, claiming her 11th career singles title.

In September, Świątek won the US Open, claiming her third Grand Slam trophy.

The 21-year-old Pole in early April took over as the new world number one in women's tennis, becoming the first Pole to top the WTA singles ranking.
