MMA: Poland’s Błachowicz to fight for UFC title in Las Vegas

Polish mixed martial arts fighter Jan Błachowicz will look to recapture his light heavyweight belt in a match with Magomed Ankalaev of Russia in Las Vegas next month.

The Pole is set to face off against the 30-year-old Russian in the western US city on December 10 during an event called UFC 282.

Błachowicz, 39, was champion from September 2020 to October 2021, when he lost his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight title in a bout against Glover Teixeira of Brazil.

Earlier last year, the Polish fighter defended his belt in a match with Israel Adesanya of Nigeria.

Błachowicz (29-9) in May this year defeated Serbia's Aleksandar Rakić by technical knockout in the third round in Los Angeles.
