This will be the 41-year-old’s first match as a referee at the tournament in Qatar, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Four years ago, Marciniak officiated two games at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Marciniak will be assisted by Polish linesmen Paweł Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz at Stadium 974 in Doha on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Poland’s Tomasz Kwiatkowski will be a video assistant referee for the France vs. Denmark match, according to the PAP news agency.
Marciniak is among 36 referees from various countries who have been selected to officiate during this year’s World Cup in Qatar.
