Ski jumping: Poland’s Kubacki second in Germany

Polish ski jumper Dawid Kubacki came in runner-up at a World Cup event in Titisee-Neustadt, Germany, on Friday, claiming his third individual podium finish of the season.

The 32-year-old Pole produced jumps of 130.5 and 144 metres to capture his 26th career World Cup podium spot.

Slovenia's Anze Lanisek won the competition on Friday, while Karl Geiger of Germany was third.

Poland’s Kubacki last month won the season’s first two World Cup competitions in Wisła, southern Poland.

After five individual events this season, Kubacki tops the overall World Cup standings, with 370 points, ahead of Lanisek with 336 points and Austria's Stefan Kraft with 105.

The 2022/2023 ski-jumping World Cup circuit, run by the International Ski Federation (FIS), features a total of 39 competitions, including 32 individual events, in various countries.
