Swimming: Short-course bronze for Poland’s Stokowski in Melbourne

Poland’s Kacper Stokowski has taken the bronze in the men’s 50 metres backstroke at the World Short-Course Swimming Championships in Melbourne, Australia.

American swimmer Ryan Murphy won the event on Friday, with a time of 22.64 seconds, while Australia's Isaac Cooper finished second, touching in at 22.73.

Stokowski came in third, clocking a time of 22.74.

His bronze is the first medal for Poland at the 2022 World Short-Course Swimming Championships, which began in Melbourne earlier this week and run until Sunday.
