The 30-year-old, ranked world No. 45 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), upset the Czech Republic's former world No. 1 Karolina Plíšková 6-3, 7-5 in the quarterfinals on Wednesday to reach her first Grand Slam last four.
The victory marked a new career milestone for the Polish player, who will now take on Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka for a place in the championship match.
Linette is the last Pole standing in the singles at this year's Australian Open, which runs until Sunday.
Poland's world No. 1 Iga Świątek has crashed out of the tournament, after being eliminated by Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan in the fourth round of the women's singles.
On the men's side, Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz bowed out of the tournament after being bested by American Sebastian Korda in the fourth round of the singles at Melbourne Park.
Meanwhile, Polish player Jan Zieliński has stormed into the semifinals of the men’s doubles in Melbourne, partnering with Hugo Nys of Monaco.
Zieliński and Nys are set to face the French duo of Jérémy Chardy and Fabrice Martin for a place in the final.
