Lech's Croatian defender Antonio Milić scored the opening goal of the match at the Municipal Stadium in the western Polish city of Poznań with a header in the 39th minute as the two sides continued their European campaign on Thursday.

Midfielder Filip Marchwiński doubled the score in the 82nd minute, bringing the Polish team closer to the Europa Conference League quarterfinals.

Lech play Djurgårdens in the second leg next Thursday, March 16, in Stockholm, with kickoff at 6:45 p.m.

Lech last month eliminated Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in the Europa Conference League knockout round playoffs to move on to the competition's last 16.

The Polish side reached the knockout stages of the Europa Conference League after finishing runner-up in its Europa Conference League group in November.

Lech in May last year won the Polish premier league championship for the eighth time.
