The Pole in December officiated the World Cup final between Argentina and France and was praised for his handling of the match, according to reports at the time.

The Champions League final will be held in Istanbul on June 10, with the same team of on-field officials as the World Cup final, according to UEFA.

Marciniak will again be assisted by Polish linesmen Paweł Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz, Poland's PAP news agency reported.

Marciniak, 42, has refereed eight Champions League matches this season, including Manchester City's 4-0 win over Real Madrid in the semifinal second leg and Inter's goalless draw at Porto in the last 16, according to the Reuters news agency.
