Warsaw conference discusses ways to fight drug cheats in sports

Anti-doping experts from across Central and Eastern Europe have flocked to Warsaw to discuss ways to fight drug cheats in sports.

More than 70 experts from 26 countries took part in the first Central and Eastern European Anti-Doping Summit, which was held in the Polish capital on Monday and Tuesday.

Participants included Witold Bańka, a former Polish sports minister who is now head of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

The summit was organized by Poland's Ministry of Sports and Tourism and the Polish Anti-Doping Agency (POLADA).

Founded in 2017, the Polish Anti-Doping Agency has over the years become one of the most dynamically developing and effective organizations caring for clean sport in the world, according to officials.
