The competition at Warsaw's Torwar Arena features 62 male and female solo dancers, 13 pairs and more than 20 ice-dance pairs from Poland and abroad, according to the Polish Figure Skating Association (PZŁF).
Competitors include Poland's Moscow-born Ekaterina Kurakova, who finished fourth in the women's singles event at the 2023 European Championships; Polish champion Kornel Witkowski; America's Olympic medal-winning solo dancer Jason Brown; and Lukas Britschgi of Switzerland, who claimed the bronze in the men's singles at the 2023 European Championships, the PZŁF said.
The Warsaw Cup is the eighth in a series of nine events comprising the 2023/2024 International Skating Union (ISU) Challenger Series.
The ISU Challenger Series is designed to give skaters opportunities to compete at the international level and earn world standing points, according to the organisers.
