Short track: Polish relay team wins bronze at world championships in Rotterdam

Poland has claimed the bronze in the men’s relay event at the short-track speed skating world championships in Rotterdam.

The medal won by Diane Sellier, Łukasz Kuczyński, Felix Pigeon and Michał Niewiński marked one of Poland's most significant achievements in short-track team events in the history of the sport, news outlets reported.

China won the gold in the Netherlands on Sunday, while South Korea secured the silver.

The Polish relay team's third-place finish earned the country its second medal so far in the sport's world championships, state news agency PAP reported.

Natalia Maliszewska won the silver in the women's 500 metres at the 2018 world championships in Montreal, becoming the first Polish short-track speed skater to make a global podium.
