The Polish world No. 1 overpowered the 28-year-old Greek player 6-4, 6-0 in the championship match.

She picked up her second title of the year.

Świątek last month won the Qatar Open tournament in Doha for the third consecutive time.

The 22-year-old Pole in November regained her spot at the top of the world rankings in women's tennis after winning the season-ending WTA Finals tournament in Mexico.

Świątek defeated Sakkari 6-4, 6-1 in the final of the women's singles at the 2022 Indian Wells.

Last year, the Polish star failed to defend her Indian Wells title, after succumbing 2-6 2-6 to Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina in the semifinals.
