Honors granted to military medalists from the Paris 2024 Olympics

On Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz presented awards and commendations to distinguished soldiers, including those from the Polish Armed Forces who won medals at the Paris Olympics.

The Ministry of National Defence hosted a ceremony awarding decorations and honors to soldiers, including those who participated in the recent Olympic Games in Paris.

The event, part of the week-long celebrations of Polish Armed Forces Day, also recognized soldiers for their service on the Polish-Belarusian border and for aiding civilians.

Medals for meritorious service awarded to Olympians serving in the military

Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz decorated Polish soldiers who participated in the Paris Olympics. Aleksandra Mirosław received a gold medal for merit, while silver medals were awarded to Julia Szeremeta and Klaudia Zwolińska, and bronze medals to Fabian Barański, Dominik Czaja, Mirosław Ziętarski, Mateusz Biskup, and Natalia Kaczmarek.

Other military medalists and Olympic participants were given commemorative plaques. Additionally, 11 soldiers were honored for their service at the Polish-Belarusian border, and several dozen more were recognized for their service and assistance to civilians.
