Since last year, the annual meeting has held Gold-level status on the World Athletics Race Walking Tour—the highest tier of international racewalking competitions.

Co-organized by the Polish Athletic Association (PZLA), the event is named after four-time Olympic racewalking champion Robert Korzeniowski.

"This is a high-performance competition open to the world’s top athletes, as part of the World Athletics Race Walking Tour Gold label," Korzeniowski told Danuta Isler.

"But as organizers, we also promote the unity of two worlds—professionals and amateurs—so we invite everyone to take part in their own personal walks," he added.
