French Open 2025: Fręch exits in second round after loss to Vondroušová

Magdalena Fręch was eliminated from the French Open in the second round on Thursday, losing to Czech player Markéta Vondroušová 0-6, 6-4, 3-6 in Paris.

The match in Paris lasted exactly two hours.

Fręch reached the second round of the French Open for the third time in her career, having previously done so in 2018 and 2023, but has never progressed beyond this stage.

Vondroušová, the 2023 Wimbledon champion, is currently ranked 96th in the world and claimed her fourth win in as many matches against the Pole.
