Poland beat Moldova 2-0 in football friendly

Poland's national football team defeated Moldova 2-0 in a friendly match at home on Friday, ahead of a crucial World Cup qualifier against Finland.

Defender Matty Cash and midfielder Bartosz Slisz scored for Poland against the visitors at the Silesian Stadium in the southern city of Chorzów.

Before kick-off, winger Kamil Grosicki received an official send-off as he retired from the national team.

Poland are ranked 31st worldwide by football's governing body FIFA, while Moldova are No. 154 in the FIFA table.

On Tuesday, the Polish team will face Finland in a key World Cup qualifier in Helsinki.
