In a thrilling race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans Robert Kubica and his co-drivers, Philip Hanson and Ye Yifei, driving the #83 car, finished 15 seconds ahead of the Porsche team, consisting of Kevin Estre, Matt Campbell, and Laurens Vanthoor.

All three drivers of the #83 car are first-time winners, with Kubica becoming the first Polish winner and Ye the first from China.

Driving for the AF Corse team, Kubica won in the prestigious Hypercar category during the 93rd edition of this event, which is regarded as one of the most challenging in motorsport. The Porsche Penske team secured second place, while the Ferrari factory team finished third. However, since the winning car was entered by AF Corse rather than directly by the manufacturer, Ferrari will not receive the points for this victory in the World Endurance Championship.

In the LMP2 category, Inter Europol Competition secured victory with Jakub Śmiechowski behind the wheel. Two years ago, the Polish team, also featuring Śmiechowski, claimed the win in the same category at Le Mans. At that time, Robert Kubica, driving for the Belgian WRT team, finished in second place.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the oldest endurance race globally, having originated in 1923. The race takes place on the Circuit de la Sarthe, which features a closed circuit and public roads. Currently, the circuit is 13.626 km long, making it the longest track on the FIA World Endurance Championship calendar.
