The tournament will run through June 29, with matches played in the southern cities of Sosnowiec and Katowice, the central city of Płock, and Kielce in the south-central part of the country.
A total of 32 teams from around the world will compete, including the Polish squad led by coach Bartosz Jurecki.
In the group stage, Poland will face Uruguay, Slovenia and Norway.
They open their campaign against Uruguay in Płock on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. local time.
Next year, Poland will also host the Women's Euro 2026 tournament, followed by the Women's World Championship in 2031, according to the Polish Handball Association.
