Majchrzak, ranked 109th, had reached the second week of a Grand Slam for the first time after defeating Matteo Berrettini, Ethan Quinn and Arthur Rinderknech in earlier rounds.

The 29-year-old showed resilience against the 17th-seeded Khachanov but was broken early in each set and found it difficult to shift the momentum, despite briefly breaking back in the third.

Khachanov, ranked No. 20 in the world, remained composed throughout and never allowed the Pole to gain a foothold in the match.

Meanwhile, Poland’s top female player, Iga Świątek, continued her smooth progress at Wimbledon with a commanding 6‑2, 6‑3 win over Danielle Collins to reach the fourth round.
