The triumph was praised by officials including President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
The Poles won the sets 25:22, 25:19, and 25:14, securing their second Nations League gold in dominant fashion.
Coached by Serbia’s Nikola Grbić, Poland had earlier knocked out Brazil in the semifinals.
Italy, competing in their first-ever VNL final, take home a historic silver medal—already their best result in the tournament.
Earlier in the day, Brazil claimed bronze with a 3–1 win over Slovenia (23:25, 25:20, 25:23, 25:19).
The final also decided the top spot in the FIVB world rankings, with Poland maintaining their lead ahead of Italy as the national team season heads into its next phase.
Polish PM praises 'knockout' victory over Italy
"I've always supported our volleyball team, but I can't remember a knockout like this," said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, congratulating the team on their victory over Italy via social media.
Later, outgoing President Andrzej Duda also paid tribute to the team, calling them "volleyball giants."
The politician praised their "class, character and sporting genius," noting that they went through the entire final tournament without dropping a single set.
