The result marks Poland’s second consecutive Nations League title, following their 3–1 win over the United States in the 2023 final in Gdańsk. They also claimed victory in the 2012 final of the now-defunct World League - the Nations League’s predecessor - beating the US 3–0 in Sofia.
Poland are now the third nation to win multiple Volleyball Nations League titles, after Russia and France.
They will have a chance to extend their dominance in September when they begin their World Championship campaign, facing Romania in their opening match on 13 September.
Before that, coach Nikola Grbić’s team will play four warm-up fixtures as part of the Hubert Wagner Memorial tournament.
The success of the Polish volleyball team was praised by both Prime Minister Donald Tusk and by President Andrzej Duda, who is soon to leave office.
