McNulty, last year’s U.S. time trial champion and a proven specialist in the discipline, clocked the fastest time ahead of Italy’s Lorenzo Milesi (Movistar Team, +0:12) and compatriot Matteo Sobrero (Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe, +0:15). Best of the Poles, Rafał Majka (UAE Team Emirates – XRG) placed 16th, 42 seconds behind his teammate.

The result overturned the general classification, where overnight leader Victor Langellotti (Ineos Grenadiers) had started the day with a slim seven-second advantage. McNulty’s power against the clock left him 29 seconds clear of runner-up Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain – Victorious) and 37 seconds ahead of Sobrero. Majka finished eighth overall, 59 seconds down.

Sunday’s ride closed a week of racing that had taken the peloton across varied Polish terrain, including Saturday’s mountain stage in Bukowina Tatrzańska, where Langellotti had dramatically seized the yellow jersey after outsprinting McNulty on the final meters. His hopes of defending the lead were undone by the American’s strength in the race against the clock.

Final classifications saw Britain’s Ben Turner (INEOS Grenadiers) take the points jersey, Belgium’s Timo Kielich (Alpecin – Deceuninck) secure the mountains title, and Patryk Stosz (Poland) win the most active rider classification. UAE Team Emirates – XRG topped the team standings.
