The 101st national track-and-field championships, held last weekend in the north-central city of Bydgoszcz, were among the last opportunities for domestic athletes to qualify for the global event in Japan.
But the results by Poland's top athletes left fans and experts questioning the country's medal prospects.
The 2025 World Athletics Championships, one of the world's largest sporting events, will take place from September 13 to 21, with more than 2,000 athletes from some 200 countries expected to compete.
