Pajor received the accolade on Monday, 22 September, during the Ballon d’Or gala in Paris.
Polish player named top scorer of 2024/2025 season
Born in 1996 in the small town of Uniejów in central Poland, which has around 3,000 inhabitants, Ewa Pajor scored a total of 52 goals last season, including 25 in the domestic league and the rest in international club competitions and for the national team.
She was presented with the award by former football star Luís Figo and was later revealed to have finished eighth in the overall Ballon d’Or ranking.
Speaking at the ceremony, Pajor said: “I came from a small town in Poland, and today I am at FC Barcelona. Thank you to all the fans and my teammates. I wouldn’t have won this award without them. With you, I am a better player, and it is an honor for me to be part of this great club.”
