The Poles cruised past Turkey in Wednesday’s quarter-final with a 3–0 win (25–15, 25–22, 25–19). Defending champions Italy also progressed after sweeping Belgium by the same score (25–13, 25–18, 25–18).

The two sides will meet on Saturday for a place in the final, renewing one of volleyball’s biggest rivalries. Poland are chasing their fourth world title, while Italy are aiming to retain the crown they won in 2022.

The other semi-final bracket will be decided on Thursday, with Bulgaria facing the United States and Iran taking on the Czech Republic.
