Legia Warsaw clinched a 2-1 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in Kraków, while Lech Poznań suffered one of the most surprising defeats in the history of Polish club football, losing 1-2 to Gibraltar’s Lincoln Red Imps.
Jagiellonia Białystok drew 1–1 away against France’s RC Strasbourg, currently third in Ligue 1, while Raków Częstochowa earned the same result in a visit to Sigma Olomouc in the Czech Republic.
The loss by Lech Poznań — to the reigning champions of Gibraltar — was described by Polish sports media as one of the most unexpected setbacks ever suffered by a Polish club in European competition.
After two rounds, Italy’s Fiorentina tops the Conference League standings, with six teams holding perfect records on six points.
Raków sits eighth with four points, Jagiellonia 10th with four, while Lech is 15th and Legia 18th, both on three points.
The top eight teams after the group stage will advance directly to the round of 16, while the next 16 clubs will enter playoff rounds.
The next round of Conference League fixtures is scheduled for November 6.
Although the Conference League is UEFA’s third-tier competition, it provides valuable ranking points for national associations.
Thanks largely to last season’s strong performances by Legia and Jagiellonia, both of which reached the quarterfinals, Poland will field five clubs in European competitions in the 2026–2027 season, including two in Champions League qualifying.
This season's Conference League final is scheduled for May 27, 2026 in Leipzig, Germany.
