The Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl) on Tuesday unveiled three sets of uniforms that Poland’s athletes will wear at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, and announced record cash prizes for medalists, including cars for individual gold medal winners.

The presentation at Warsaw’s Olympic Centre opened with a video tribute to Poland’s greatest Winter Olympic successes, featuring cross-country skier Justyna Kowalczyk, speed skater Zbigniew Bródka, ski jumpers Adam Małysz and Kamil Stoch, and biathlete Tomasz Sikora.

“Olympic Games are special. Together with Adidas, we wanted to prepare something unique for this occasion,” PKOl head Radosław Piesiewicz said.

“We wanted our athletes to look their best. The prizes we’re offering are also the highest in the history of the Games," he added.

The new uniforms are based on Poland’s national colors—red and white—with added shades of navy, gray, violet and silver, state news agency PAP reported.

The collection features three versions: for the opening and closing ceremonies, medal ceremonies, and daily wear in the Olympic Village and training zones.

A key design element combines the Polish Olympic Committee’s Team PL logo with the national emblem, the white eagle.

A subtle eagle pattern also appears on the back of selected pieces, as well as on the jackets and pants that athletes will wear during medal ceremonies.

Piesiewicz also announced that former cyclist Czesław Lang, now director of the Tour de Pologne, will serve as the Polish team’s Olympic attaché.

“The Games will take place in Italy, my second homeland, so this is a great honor for me,” Lang said.

Representatives of Toyota’s Sabaj Group dealership in Warsaw said that Polish athletes who win individual gold medals will each receive a Toyota Corolla in addition to their financial prizes.

Earlier this year, when PKOl signed a sponsorship deal with cryptocurrency exchange Zondacrypto, Piesiewicz said cash awards for the 2026 medalists would be doubled from 2024 levels—half paid in traditional currency and half in digital tokens.

Individual gold medalists will receive PLN 500,000 (about EUR 117,500, USD 135,000), silver medalists PLN 400,000, and bronze medalists PLN 300,000.

The same rewards will go to each member of teams of two to six athletes. Bonuses will also be paid to competitors finishing between fourth and eighth place.

During Tuesday’s event, Piesiewicz presented the Gold Medal “For Services to the Polish Olympic Movement” to Tomasz and Franciszek Pochwała — the grandson and great-grandson of Franciszek Gąsienica-Groń, Poland’s first Winter Olympic medalist, who won bronze in Nordic combined at the 1956 Games in Cortina d’Ampezzo.

The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo from February 6 to 22.
