Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka retained the top spot and extended her lead after winning the Indian Wells tournament over the weekend.

Sabalenka defeated Rybakina in three sets in Sunday’s final of the prestigious tournament in California.

She now leads Rybakina by 3,242 points.

Świątek was eliminated in the quarterfinals at Indian Wells and trails Rybakina by 370 points.

Meanwhile, Poland’s Magdalena Fręch and Magda Linette each dropped one place in the rankings, to 37th and 50th respectively.

The WTA Tour now moves to Miami, where the next WTA 1000 event begins on Tuesday, marking the second leg of the "Sunshine Double."

Świątek won the Indian Wells in 2022 and 2024.

In 2022, she completed the Sunshine Double, winning the Indian Wells and the Miami Open back to back.
